There's a lovely selection of video and audio files to play on this site, the trouble is though that my WMP won't play any of them! Does anyone else have this problem? I have WMP10, brand new copy, which plays stuff from my hard drive perfectly well, but it simply will not play any streaming video or video/audio files from sites like those on here, which is pretty damn frustraing. Real Player and Quicktime work fine. WMP just tries to connect for 30-40 seconds, then displays an error message saying it cannot playback the file and gives and error message relating to proxy settings, suggesting how to check them. When I do this, it still refuses to play anything! Ha! Any (useful) suggestions please anyone? I'm dying to play the Fuji festival file in the audio/video section, but can't. Can I quote a Depeche Mode lyric..."I'm on my knees, begging you, please'!! Ta muchly.

Why don't you download the files to your hard drive then?
Already tried that...WMP wouldn't play the Fuji festival as it was missing an audio codec. Got directed by Microsoft to some third party site for the codec, and was told it hadn't been tested for viruses, etc, so avoided like the plague! Downloading and then playing the files with WMP works fine, except for the Fuji file. Bugger.

I can't say which codec is used for that Fuji webcast, I'd have to dig for more information...

YA that didnt work for me either.
