I'm sorry if you guys already know of this cover. But has anyone heard "Flunks" version of Blue Monday? I just downloaded it and its a cover of New Order's alright. She uses and acoustic guitar the entire song, and it has some soft synth that come in, and then it goes on adding more. Its a softer version, that really dancy. I enjoyed it though, its definently different.

Edited the title.

Going by your description, I'm pretty sure it's not Bjork, but a Scandinavian band called 'Flunk' or something similar, but I could be wrong....someone was talking about it a year or so ago here, but I've not heard it in full myself. CTB :bear:

Berk's best stuff was with the Sugarcubes. I can see why she got rid of them - that bloke shouting over the records had to go. She's not really fulfilled her potential since then, although some nice little tunes. Laying an egg at the Brits and twatting that photographer are post-Cubes highlights.

Frente is Australian, I think. Frente never did a cover of BM. Yes, it was Flunk who did a cover of BM.

You're right as ever, Maja :thumb: Johnny, Frente's BLT came out about 10 years ago ( and was shite, IMHO); the Flunk BM cover is much more recent than that...I think within the last 18 months or so CTB :bear:

Heard this for the first time on Thursday in Arvika. One of the DJs in the back stage area played it, Wayne and I both thought it was Bjork! God, it certainly sounds like her.

A very relaxing version, suited the mood perfecto.

Ah, your right it is indeed Flunk. My apologies, it said and sounded like Bjork. How funny, thanks for clearing that up.

Flunk does a very chilled-out version of Blue Monday. But you are deffo right, she does sound like Björk!

Yeah CTB i remember Frentes version of BLT was 10 years ago.I was in Israel for a year around that time and the radio stations were quite fond of playing it.That was as near as it got to hearing New Order on the radio though.Theyve never been that popular in The Holy Land.Probably because of the (alegged) Nazi implications with the names of Joy Division and New Order. They`ve never played a gig in Israel

You also have another accoustic cover done by a band called "So Happy", which is on fm loze's tribute album "Revolving World"...

I love Frente's version of BLT, beautiful in my opinion. Although Frente were a crap band.

Frente's 15 minutes of fame and any nod back to NO is a good one.
