here are the old men

its not exactly 't in the park' but there was some real heavy moshing going on during the undertones set at blackburns arts in the park last night.i literally bumped into a group of the old joy division fans in the mosh pit who mobbed me due to my fac50 t-shirt.believe me when you bump into big bellied rough looking 40+ year olds when moshing you certainly feel it maulpa and tompaulin were best groups on the alternative stage.i already knew of maulpa but does anyone know anything about tompaulin?

G - Tompaulin are a canny band, haven't heard of them for a couple of years though, saw them once up the 'Cluny' in Newcastle, very Velvets , Mary Chain thing going on and the bird's canny fit as well! Undertones eh Are the brothers still in are r theyjust down to the bare bones? Still, shoudn't complain (Skit!!) not long now till the next Bunnymen tour, only 2 out of four there left!
