Sorry if this has been discussed on here before, but I aint trawling through all the threads.

But can a petition be started to send to Barney, to plead with him to stop f@@kin dancing!

I agree!! if hes not careful he'll ruin years of coolness with his dancing. if anyone in the uk saw him on the jonathan ross show they'll know what we mean...

Barney's dancing is brilliant and unique! No rule says you have to watch it if you don't like it. Play your CDs instead and enjoy. And leave the man alone for fook sake!

No one tells Joe Cocker to stop his "kind of movement" while singing, so why should Barney stop? Through his weird dance he shows positive emotions for his songs. Better someone hopping around, than someone standing like a statue at the microphone without showing any emotion. The problem may be that Barney doesn't realise that he's not 25 anymore, so it can make a very weird impression to NO newbies. But you are as old as you feel and so let him dance if he wants to. If you can stand it close your eyes .

Bernard's dancing used to irritate me. I thought, why is he spoiling the music?

Now I love it. Have to stop worrying about what's cool or else we wouldn't get very far. Its funny, he enjoys it, and lets be honest, New order dropped the serious look a long time ago.

That dancing is fantastic, won't hear a thing said about it.

Actually I was watching recent footage with an old friend and she said she would like a vid of just his dancing and she isn't even that into them (maybe I should get Shug onto it).

I have noticed the side leg kicks have diminshed over the tour and he is more into skiing moves, twists and quick shuffles - maybe due to the ankle injury - standing on one leg can be stressful to the other leg.

why is everyone banging on about barneys dance routines as if its something new?? barney has been a stagespaz since the late eighties at least, and sugestions that they have gone from cool to fool is just nonsense. dig out your live dvds from that era and compare to today (fine time on top of the pops springs to mind)and yet here they are 20yrs on still being lauded by their peers as one of the coolest bands of the last 25yrs. i must admit the johnathan ross performance even had my mouth agape in shame but its a known fact that new order can be like a car crash when playing live. "you know its going to be bad but you still have to watch"

were all guilty of it, but i think its a case of ageism. Its because their pushing 50 and dont look like the strokes.

It is fantastic dnacing, especially "The HAMSTER " dance he did on the Jonathan Woss show.
