More NO song snippet trainspotting

Had telly on last night for Without A Trace. When the next lot of ads came on there was a promo for Foxtel(Oz PayTV)-lo & behold, the background music for this was a snippet of "Turn" Someone in the Foxtel marketing department's got good taste and I hope NO get a good kickback royalty-wise for it, just like I'm sure they would have for "Slow Jam" being used for the Ford XR6 commercials they still broadcast here.

Krafty was played during the British Golf Open the other week and I heard it somewhere else in the last week or so.

This was quite a long time ago, but last year when I was at my mom's house in Japan, on this one TV show, they used the song "Let's Go" on there.

On the Local ABC breakfast radio show, once or twice a week when they come back from current affairs you hear the intor to Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Not a snippet here, walked into House Of Records in Eugene earlier this week, looking for the vinyl Jetstream. The clerk played the entire FactUS 8 EP during my stay, I thanked him for doing so as I left, EGG sure sounded great. :egg:

There's an ad playing in movie theatres (before the coming attractions) for Mars chocolate bars which uses Blue Monday. Quite silly as a guy who just bit into a Mars bar walks around and things light up and turn on as he passes by.

Part of me is revolted by the use of the song, part of me is excited to hear it in public. Maybe exposure at any cost is a good thing. I'm torn.

Another version of the Foxtel ad was on telly a few minutes ago, more specifically for Fox Sports, which features not only the instrumental bit of the song, but some of Barney's vocals as well. Defo comes under the heading..."should have been one of the singles...or at least a bonus track..just like Slow Jam shoulda been" Once again we can only hope they got a bloody good royalty deal from Foxtel.
