i don't know if this has been covered before, but has anyone heard the afghan whigs' live cover of regret?

it's an impromptu cover and the banter with the audience is quite interesting beforehand--trying to determine who in the audience likes and doesn't like new order. in the end, the singer seems to not give a damn and plays NO because he feels like it and 'likes the band.'

an interesting take of the song, but he has no idea what the lyrics are (although he fully admits it before the song starts!).

It's quite amusing - I hadn't heard them before but stumbled across this on Audiogalaxy a few years back. It didn't inspire me to seek out the rest of Signor Dulli's back catalogue though!

i found it on limewire when i was downloading their songs. i had no idea they had done a cover of this; it's not surprising since they do quite a few live covers. but new order did throw me for a bit of a loop.

I've heard it and I found it kind of fun, not a bad job. the job he did on the lyrics put me in a good New Ordery mood. It sounds like they didn't know the song real well, but its enjoyable nonetheless.

I just downloaded it from WinMX. I wasn't too impressed although it sounds like they were having a good time. The chat with the audience beforehand was pretty funny. He did butcher the lyrics.

But I strongly believe that NO exposure at any cost, is good exposure. We need to share more NO with others.
