NO tour

Any thoughts on the UK tour dates and venues that have just been announced? The venues are small and homely, but many fans will undoubtedly miss out. The number of gigs will also mean fewer fans will see them.

I'm not a Great Britain specialist, so the people living there will want to reply, but aren't a few important cities been simply forgotten? I'm thinking especially of Birmingham, but also of Sheffield and Bristol (are these cities big enough to welcome New Order?). And if they do not make it to Belfast, hopefully they will be going to Dublin, otherwise it would be a mistake.

There are MANY cities being missed unfortunately. It's good they're playing their hometown and a few dates in Scotland but to then just play London is a bit disappointing. Oh for the days of Warrington, Oxford, Sheffield, Brum, Wolverhampton etc. etc.

Don't worry Jeff, they'll soon get sick of the bad weather in England and come to the States.

I am lucky I am in L.A. then, big city...they HAVE to play here...

i've checked most of the tours and concerts archives and have not found a single instance when new order actually came to seattle. the gorge was a 3 hour drive from here...of course, with all the sad fucks in this town i don't expect to see them here in 2002 either.

I agree with Brian, the Gorge is literally desert, it never rains there, climactically totally different from Seattle (other side of the cascades you know). ;) OK, so it rained in Vancouver when they were here. But we've had an otherwise great summer! Not much rain, and not hot as hell like the eastern part of North America! Besides, I like the rain sometimes... :)

Liv, sounds like a good idea meeting up, but not sure if I am going to Machester or London, as they are equal distance and depends what I can get a ticket for. Pissed off though that no Midlands gigs, because they are mostly midweek. With the Morris's living in Derbyshire I would have thought the Assembley Rooms in Derby would be ideal.
