Looking at the track order for the upcoming DVD.The videos disc has Blue Monday first. What are the chances it will indeed be the original 83 video?.As theyve done the tracks in chronological order it wouldnt be right to have the 88 BM vid at the start surely?.

Anyway , i for one will be a bit dissapointed if it turns out to only be the 1988 remix vid.

No, and yes it is crap. That is the vid.

they should at least stick in the original as an easter egg somewhere

I wouldn't say no to it, especially as I think that BM88 is really crap. That is the remix, not the vid.

I'd like to have the TOTP performance at least on the DVD. Sure it's a bit flighty, but I like it (there's something appealing about how lost Barney looks in that one) :thumb:

I just want the damn thing to come out in the States

Depends if NewOrderStory includes also the videos... if so, it'll be there... but it would be redondant.

They never made a video for BM in '83, unless you are talking about the Top Of The Pops performance.

Sorry they did, well Steve did on his Apple. Lots of primitive computer graphics, and pictures of soldiers marching. I've only managed to see it agian lately.

I never knew that. How come they didn't put it on the "Substance" video?

The Quality Control Department (aka Bernard Sumner) disapproved it... thankfully this time they approved the DVD tracklisting while he was sailing the Atlantic in his boat (rumour has it that he took with him an Ace of Base best of CD :D)

That explains 'Jetstream' and 'I told you so'...

I just hope he hasn't got any 'Europe' / 'Heart' / 'Roxette' / 'other crappy soft rock band' bobbing around in his boat with him...

Even if the original BM 83 vid is shite i still want to see it in its entirety in good quality.ive got half of it on an old vhs from years ago.and it`s knackered.

It is on the Factory compilation VHS video, "Shorts" (FACT 137), which shouldn't be that difficult to find?

Yes, indeed it is - you can find a pic of the video sleeve on NOOL. The video itself is rather more difficult to find. Original second hand Factory vids, apart from 'Here Are The Young Men' are quite difficult to find, though they do occasionally surface on Ebay.

It's yellow with a red and black Factory logo. Yes, I do happen to have one, but I can't convert it to DVD at present, though I will some day if its not released.

To be honest, the BM video is the only one on it that I ever watch now - it looks like a very dodgy Space Invaders game plus a few WWII graphics and some radar stuff.

Steve must have had a ZX Spectrum

Actually theres a different tracklisting for the DVD on another thread that seems to only have the 88 mix video so maybe thats what we`ll get anyway?.
