Hi

Ive always wondered what the artwork for the 'Brotherhood' signifies. Is it something to do with the fact that steel precision precision. Anyone have any better theories?

It's a photagraph of a sheet of zinc, the writing is the manufacturers lot / serial number. At the recent Saville Exhibition the actual sheet was on display.

I don't think there's any significance, really, just that it looks neat.

Symbolic of cold steeliness in the face of all that's gone before... although it could also be a shield to hide the tender hidden underside of the heart beneath...

i seen a Brotherhood cd in HMV a German import with a plain white cover sleeve,it's say's best of NO,is there any difference on this cd to the other's a special edition or something,i and Shugzv could'nt make it out,maybe just an import..

How about the album cover of Bizarre Love Triangle? That one always baffled me.

The Brotherhood cover has something to do shipping, btw you can't see all the writing on the newer cds. On the older covers you can clearly make out the word Billiton. Billiton a few years back merged with our biggest company to become BHP-Billiton. They are one of the world's biggest miners and steel makers.

In my haste I added "album" as not to confuse with just "cover" (i.e, some band covering BLT). Anyways, you know what I mean. :D The artwork from the single cover always baffled me.

Yep i've seen Brotherhood with a plain white cover with a red "get ready" stripe on it and the words "best of NO".

why repackage just that one album - v.weird!

Could just be punters messing about with the inlays in the shops, or the staff trying to confuse fans
