I'd say so, yes. I thought it was an interesting read. The interviews with Tony Wilson are expecially hilarious. But since May? It shouldn't be taking that long. When I went to London this June I walked right into Waterstone and bought a copy. I don't know what to tell you.

Best bit is the "true" comment in the title. Mick Muddles has a few problems remembering anecdotes accurately, such as some rant about Anton Corbijn in 1983, supposedly about the Atmosphere video that Corbijn directed 5 years later......

Its worth the read just because of what it is: an eyewitness account of JD and NO. It has errors and flaws but I enjoyed it.
You mean to tell me that the story of Factory Records isn't the same as that of 24 Hour Party People?
Well, sad that Amazon can't deliver it tou you any longer !? But it's definitely worth the read, very hilarious at times and a comprehensive documentary about Factory Rec., whith (obviously)the nearly whole lot about JOY+Nuo.
Middles obviously doesn't have anyone checking his facts for him... In the Happy Mondays book, he had 'Bummed' down as being recorded 'at Driffield, in Hull.'
The album WAS recorded in Driffield - my home town - which is 25 miles north of Hull.
What an insult.
It's a bit like saying Manchester is in Liverpool. 
It's a must read and goes really in deep.The best bits in the book for me were the good times and the bad times that they had when touring America when they were young.
Thanks everyone. Have always been a bit suspicious of Middles which is why I've avoided this book so far. But I've now cancelled the amazon order and bought on ebay for less...
