Did anybody else see Chemical Brothers at V. If so please confirm what I suspect. Just after Out of Control, sampling Barney's vocals, did I spot a bit of Temptation followed by a bit of Thieves Like Us?

Certainly did Temptation at Stafford, but not for long. Didn't recognise thieves though but you could be right.
Oh, forgot mention they wiped the floor with Oasis in every way. Saw the start of Oasis (dreadful dirge opening) before moving for the start of the Chemical Brothers (immense Hey Boy Hey Girl) then decided to check out Oasis mid set but the crowd was moving one way, not surprising it was a quiet, shite singalong to live forever. The loudest performance on the site at that time and the biggest light show meant that the Chemical brothers could be watched and heard from the main arena while Oasis played, fantastic!
I watched the start of Oasis, nipped over to see the start of the Chems and then had to go back to Oasis to meet up for the walk to the cab.
The crowd for Oasis was indeed much smaller than Chems, and no wonder, in my opinion.
As far as the NO/JD references in their set, the Temptation Sample was used in Star Guitar and I'm sure I heard the chimes from Atmosphere.
Best bit - when the big screen rolled down at the start of Push the Button - fist in the air time!

Similar situation at Chelmsford.
My mate chose Oasis over the Chems and was hugely disappointed. Crowd for the Chemical Brothers increased throughout the set as more and more disgruntled people came across from the main stage.

I saw Oasis at Chelmsford and then when that finished went over to CH4 stage for last Chemical Brothers songs.I have to say that Oasis were pretty good (not as good as in 95 at Glastonbury though). Liam is a right knob though. Worse than Barney. The bickering between Noel and Liam got tedious but they put in a decent show and while it didnt stand out as a Festival highlight I was impressed.
However, I felt Chemical Brothers wasnt particulary impressive. I dont know what instrumentation they played live and what was tapes but it was pretty lifeless and boring In my opinion. I prefere live guitar bands to live electronic dance acts I have to say.
I was at Staffs right up the front against the barrier getting the full woft of dry ice in my face...made the frickin lazer beams look good though. Temptation intro to Star Guitar was first time i'd heard this rendtion live and my god did it send shivers down me! Freaky dancin followed! 
They still cut it those Brothers!
By the way i didnt pick up on Thieves but one of the intros to one of the tunes was so damn close to Blue Mondays infamous beats.
