Ok, what's your take on the upcoming market flood by Warner?

In 2 weeks, they will be releasing:

2xDVD - Item 2xCD - Singles 3x7" - Waiting For The Sirens Call 2-CD - Waiting For The Sirens Call 1-DVD - Waiting For The Sirens Call 2-12" - Waiting For The Sirens Call

I wonder why they are rushing Item & Singles.. that could have been pushed to November and December.. with a release of Turn (if they do release it)

Except the DVD is a USA project and the rest is UK-only so far.. my only idea is that the band doesn't want to all 3 together at the same time...

It's the same strategy Pearl Jam took a few years back when their sales plummeted. Instead of selling a few million of a single live album, they released dozens of different live albums.

Prob. Item and the 3 7" singles-which I'll promply encode to digital format and never play again(the singles, that is).

It's been a NO year and I'm loving it. I hope it continues all the way through 2006. Maybe just as it's winding down the Cure will release their next "project". Or maybe even Siouxsie and Budgie will pull something from the vault.

Enjoy it while you can, would you rather be complaining about too much stuff or nothing at all? Think about it.

We used to joke about New Order putting out far too many useless compilations (like International/Retro), but are these new things really what the fans want?

Sure, the DVD collection is highly anticipated, but where did the call for a new 7" singles collection come from? I smell filthy lucre.

Pope, have you ever tried to run a yacht? Have you any idea of the costs involved? It's not just the boat itself, you have moring costs, fuel, contant repairs and no end of peices of rope, maps and other accessories. Have you any idea how much it all costs?

No, I thought not.

Shut the fuck up and buy the 7" collection then!
