I think this was settled... New Order's manager said he could get the site paid by Warner but wanted us to remain indie so we're not forced to listen to them.
In my book, this means we're quasi-official ;)

as for this site becoming official ive got to agree with what the band had saidIE: they would prefer it to remain independant as then it would not be strong armed by warner or any other label,and lets face it,it is the fanatasism and free for all nature of this site what makes it so great.

Seems to me being qusi offical you get the best of both worlds ... no having to follow rules ... bowing to the needs of the record company hehehehehe.

In my book, this means the best option ever for a site dedicated to a band. Recognized from the band, but with a lot of freedom intact... look at the most of the official or semi-official sites... lucky if you find some wma or wmv streaming... while here, you know, a lot of things are happening, and we get away with it because the band just knows we are true fans and, for example, that bootlegs won't ever affect record sales. They also known that usually record labels people are a bit less open minded so they don't want us to take orders from them.
In brief, WELL DONE NOOL and WELL DONE ANDY ROBINSON!
Don't ever change.
