NEW ORDER RELEASE ‘ITEM’, A DOUBLE DVD COLLECTION, ON 3RD OCTOBER 2005 THROUGH WARNER VISION

This autumn New Order release ‘Item’, a two DVD set that chronicles the unique story and visuals of a band that have gone down in musical history. In ‘Item’ New Order tell their account of a legendary career, through the stories, videos and music that have made them one of the most important British bands of all time.

‘Item’ will include all of New Order’s groundbreaking videos entitled ‘A Collection’ on Disc 1. Disc 2 contains the "New Order Story" – now a 138-minute documentary, based on the previous VHS release, with extended interviews and live footage.

Disc 1, ‘A COLLECTION’, features every single New Order video, including “Bizarre Love Triangle,” “Blue Monday,” and “True Faith” plus brand-new videos for “Temptation” and “Ceremony” (as videos were never originally made for these releases) created exclusively for this compilation. It also includes the video for their forthcoming single from their current album, the title track, “Waiting For The Siren’s Call”. This collection of videos is commercially available for very the first time.

DISC 1 - A COLLECTION track list: Ceremony Confusion The Perfect Kiss Shellshock State Of The Nation Temptation Bizarre Love Triangle True Faith Touched By The Hand Of God Blue Monday ’88 Fine Time Round & Round Run World In Motion Regret Ruined In A Day World Spooky 1963 Crystal 60 Miles An Hour Here To Stay Krafty Jetstream Waiting For The Sirens’ Call

Disc 2, NEW ORDER STORY contains over two revealing hours of footage, available for the first time on DVD. It was first released in 1994 on VHS and on ‘Items’ it appears as an extended version. Now more than doubled in length, it contains exclusive additional interviews and live footage.

Don't think it does, all they've done is accurately describe the difference between the UK and US versions of the original video.

You're probably right, but I hope you're wrong!

Don't expect anything new. I'm sorry to tell you that the running time is still the same.

Yes, but it's a UK press release.. it wouldn't make sense, isn't it?

Like I think it wouldn't make sense to put the videos in it, since they will be on Disc 1...

Oh well..

Although I stopped a long time ago to expect stuff like this from New Order ;)

This just means that the c*** who wrote the press release never saw the original, european version of "Neworderstory". Bloody ridiculous!

Yes, where are they? And the songs' running order is not the same as the US one!

I have passed your remarks to the person who sent me the press release.

We'll see about it.

Heres an idea: People sit down; people are unsure of what to put in a press release; people wait until they are sure of what to put in a press release; those people check that what they are releasing is correct and check with the band; said people release the press release. The fans are happy and not pissed off that what they think is being released is not being released.

NB: Maybe too complicated for Warners...

It's not Warner that does the press release.. they hire people at Press Counsel to do that

Hm... if you check http://www.wea.de it seems, that the ITEM-DVD seems to be two releases, 'cos they're listed separately! And this is the NOstory-Artwork

Well, as Mr R&R and Mr Discography pointed in other threads.. it's probably a slipcase with both DVDs in it...

I'm glad to see it's this, it's rather nice.

Time to sell the damned VHS
