I like NO because....I'm proud that their half Salfordian.Never forget their roots, and they're still down to earth. They appeal to the punk in me,and mostly to the electro/rave geek in me too.And well despite the fear of repeating myself, the best of Manchester/Salford/World!!

... because if it wasn't for them, my favourite band would be The Stone Roses and they are great also so either is fine, I guess. Fook this, New Order rocks!!!
They have tracks to suit my every mood and I associate alot of happy times with their music. Also, they have always been streets ahead of alot of the crap out there.
They're cool and I can't think of a single reason not to like them :)
I like New order because...
they make me feel like I have better taste than 99% of the music listening morons out there...fair enough?
...........there wasn't any other band like them in the early 80s.
Also...........humour as well. Gotta have that.

You've got it perfectly there.

Because they're naive (musically and generally), down to earth normal lads (and ladette), who cant read music, and yet create the most wonderful songs and have been getting away with it for years! They did it their way and to hell what everyone else thinks.
Because some of their mistakes have become their savours.
Because theyre still going, after all this time. (Ok, so they had a long lay off of 8 years between albums but alot of bands would have thrown in the towel well before then).
Because they inspired me to play the guitar, keyboard and even drum machine and form a band (even if it was only briefly).
Because they made me think of music in a totally different way.
Because they have provided me with a lot of entertainment and amusement along the way.
The landscape of modern music would have been a lot less colourful without the existence and legacy of New Order.

Ditto.
Oh and they are still capable of producing the odd classic

Unless i`ve been having sex on the internet.
I don't like them, I love them. This is one of the few things I cannot rationalize. I just do. Genetic predisposion perhaps.

Don't you love sarcasm?
I LIKE NEW ORDER BECAUSE... out of all the bands, solo singers that I listen to, they are the band I listen to on a regular basis because they make shithot music.

no, coffee. duh!!
I know this is cliche, but seriously they change music 2 times. They were genius both times around. This is why I cannot be upset if their newer material is not ground breaking. How could you expect anything more? They cover the full spectrum of emotions and this is why I never get tired of them.

Now either they have The best of in your local, or your 7 tracks consist of:
True Faith Blue Monday 88 True Faith Blue Monday 88 True Faith Blue Monday 88 True Faith
Having said that i found a pub the other day with BLT (albeit the 94 version)
Across the seas of happiness and melancholy, the stream of notes flowing out of Hooky's bass carries me to unknown shores ("what does this ship bring to me?) ; the voice of Sumner turning around me makes me feel so dizzy... Is he joking ? Is he sad ? How could you know in such songs written like pictures in a light and shade manner ; the drums and the keyboards - as inseparable as "the other two " - make my blood pressure increase until "I lose control". Now, you can understand why I love NO : it's the only band to bring me in such a state of CONFUSION !

Does the licensee have to choose it though or is it done by popularity ie if True Faith got played 20 times it would download some more NO? Dont understand all this new fangled technology!!
