Compact Disc for me every time. In an ideal world London would release a variety of formats but this poll is meant to reflect which one you would personally choose if only one was getting a release (or priority) as in WFTSC's case. It's probably a safe bet the measily 2 track CD idea only materialised after the label noticed all the bad reactions to the seven inches on NOOL :nonono:

Hopefully the results will continue to show Warners what a shambolicly bad idea this WFTSC release is. It's patronising of them to say the seven inches will be "collectables" as they clearly won't be. I guarantee the vinyl plus probably even the slipcases will be kicking around ebay in three years time for £1.99 or a fiver max an auction. They've clumsily thrown in this slipcase idea to generate interest but it's a totally fucking lame idea. Also, ask any NO collector and they will tell you the real collectables are usually the promotional or label in-house releases which were never intended for public consumption, not a publicly released seven inch (or three).

CD obviously.

Digital Releases would be nice if :

  • they had high resolution artwork to download with it
  • were encoded in a loseless format

Other than that, I'll never buy a song online when I can get a lossy one for.. hum, free?

Lucky New Order, I always buy theirs though ;)

Or a CD with a FAC number on the spine, although digital download is the way forward.

CD is the ideal format. Even lossless downloadable singles aren't never quite the same...yet.

For me, ideally, both the CD single and 7 inch vinyl, in that order of preference, and I would buy both formats if made available over here.

Wouldn't buy any digital downloads at 128, like Spotnick I would prefer a lossless format.

buy CD's all the way, respect there music never download for free, 12in I'll buy just to buy when ever it's found in those small music stores.

I like them well done, with green pepper sauce and an oven potato...

CD's 1 + 2, with either a new BSide or an old remix of a different track chucked in + a DVD single.

I also like it when they come out when they are meant to, in the formats that they say they will!

Vinyl for playing at home and CD for the car or ripping to my Zen Micro.

Vinyl of course!

As it is the way forward and new technology can finally accomodate it.

You see? Clever isn't it? Forward by going backwards. And they talk about Honda & The Power of Dreams. Ha! They really have had a " Dream Attack " with this idea! Ha Ha!

What a load of horse.
