Hannet would have nothing to worry about. Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but it's junk regardless of how good their marketing department would have you believe it is.

I should just add I only use it for NO stuff.

Stereo imaging and all that stuff, stick Hooky further to the right, Barney to the left, Steve in the middle.

I have a friend who owns a music store and used to be a Behringer dealer. Let's just say Behringer isn't known for it's stunning audio quality among pro audio community, but as you say... if it floats your boat then I'm happy for you. If you're enjoying it then that's all that counts. As for my own personal use, I've experimented with various enhancement type processors for mixing and mastering over the years and my opinion of them still stands. I have indeed fooled my own ears with them from time to time but still return to the same conclusion.

The stereo imaging stuff comes from a sum and difference matrix which basically creates a left, right, and center from a typical stereo track. Knocking a few db out of the middle and then adjusting eq or phase gives the illusion of enhanced width. It's a neat trick and fun for the ears but can easily destroy the power and cohesiveness of the original mix.

I'm only talking a processor between usual low quality mp3's and the amp speakers in your house. If you wanna get heavy I know a guy that is looking for a house to house his audio system and it needs the right shaped room. He's off his fookin head! My suggestion is a low budget superb aural exciter that your average punter will be blown away by.

But if you wanna talk REAL stuff...then I agree, it is low end stuff. i dont live in a studio though..

The coaxial lead from my DVD player to my surround sound processor costs more than that piece of crap.

My pre-amp doesn't even have a bass or treble knob :p

By all means stick it between your PC & your amp when you play your MP3s, getting a decent sound card would do a similar job & be more discrete.

Yeh I know, I've spent over 4 grand on my home studio...got pro quality digital audio goin on, but I just use this unit to perk up every day music playin in my living room.

For 70 quid it's fookin great
