They make fantastic music, simple as :) Surely that's the main reason why we all ultimately like them, regardless of gender.

or...maybe it was because i loved NO's music from the first time i heard it. i had no idea they were considered a 'bloke's band' until i joined NOOL.

i did collect the michael jackson stickers, though; back when he was black.

I agree, I didn't realize they were a "guy" band when I got into them. I just love the music. I think it is part subliminal though.

I'm not a stereotype woman anyway, I armwrestle men twice my size, can drink half of them under the table and go watch Dinamo play.

i'm sorry but no offence, i'm still confused:confused2:

i get it. ;)

unicorns are pretty, too. just like barney.

 :thumb: That's an important reason, yes!

Oh, for sure! And I'm definetly a unicorn. I mean, I fell in love with NO before I saw pictures of them. It was the music first, but the pictures sure didn't hurt...

I think we should question why we need to ask this question? There are normally multiple reasons why anyone is attracted to anything.

Although, I have known of women who purposely develop interests in mainly male pursuits to pull a bloke. Have known people who did that with football and one possible one with New Order (not someone that posts, before anyone gets offended!).

I think New Order are a unique band because they can express such different emotions, so they are good for both the hooligan who can singalong to World In Motion and the shy girl who can enjoy things like Thieves Like Us, 1963 or Run. I think it's amazing they're mostly a band for male fans because they are not ashamed of doing sheer pop tunes and that's what attracts girls, like Pet Shop Boys do. I would rather think a trad rawk band like Oasis are mostly for boys, but songs like Bizarre Love Triangle should definitely appeal a female audience (check the Frente cover, see how the song sounds female)... Probably it's the indie rock attitude of other songs like Regret which keeps attracting mostly boys...

 I know I haven't expressed myself clearly... it was like 4 AM and was falling asleep on the keyboard... Anyway yes, I think the most of the fans of Pet Shop Boys are female, usually they're too uncool for boys, especially if they don't wanna look gay and, on the opposite, wanna look tough.

He's a fan, isn't he? Well, me too. Not quite everything, but I find Bilingual and Nightlife are absolute masterpieces. I couldn't care less if a band is cool or not. Well, I'm happy if they're successful, as a supporter of a football team is happy if his team wins... but it's different, the emotion of the music is what matters. I like The Darkness. Do you think they're too stupid? I don't care. I like them. I got used to be uncool when I told the stupid goths who were trying to keep me a Joy Division-only fan that Blue Monday was in fact becoming my favourite song ever. You should have seen the horror in their eyes.

"B-b-but... it's... D-DANCE! Shame on you!" :nono:

To which I reply: "No, fuck YOU!" :evil4:

Why do I, as a girl, like NO? Because, like Mari, I'm a serious music fan. I like good music and NO make what I consider to be good music, simple as that. Plus, they've got a song for every mood and emotion.

BTW, just for the record (this is in reply to Ant's post), I hate Celine Dion and think that films like Dirty Dancing and Ghost are shite. Does that make me a unicorn? Just wondering.
