Hiya Everyone,
I don't know if anybody knew that Barney worked for an animation tv company called cosgrove hall productions but does anybody know if he did the artwork for the 1970's kids cartoon show Jamie and the magic torch? although he is under of what i believe is his birth name of Bernard Dicken.

I'm pretty sure he worked on it, yes. I know he didn't do it all, though, becuase he was just an assistant.

Yes he did. He got the name 'Albrecht' from one of the copying machines he used when he worked there.

Yep.
In the sweltering heat of the summer of 1976 one of the artists working on the series forgot to add a substance to the paint which meant that it would not stick to the animation cells. Every cell had to be scraped clean and repainted. The guilty artist? None other than Bernard Sumner who went on to play in the rock bands Joy Division and New Order.
