Was really surprised he owns it,I'd have thought Hacienda would have put him off for life!!
There's been some top acts on here,and the student nights look good.

Hooky co-owns it with Rourke, Mani and Monaco's ex-manager Nova Rehman (+ an additional business partner of Rehman's I think). The "three bassists" are sort of the public face of the club if you like with a company called "CollectiV" operating the venue. I'm not sure if "CollectiV" still exists in that form but it was also responsible for the landmine charity "Cohesion" album which featured New Order, Monaco, Other Two, Ian Brown etc.
I remember visiting the club while doing some web work for Rehman in late 2000. They were renovating it and choosing what material the dancefloor should be laid with. I voted for wood if I remember correctly :D
Never been since it fully opened though, no doubt will try to make it there next time I'm in the Macclesfield area.
God knows when that will be!
Went there a few years back after a NOOL piss up in Manchester, cannae remember who I was with, think it was Rocket Mick and Baldrick, anyway we got there on a Sunday about 12 and the bastard was shut. Gutted.
BTW it took us ages to find the fookin place an all!
Where did Rourke get the money from to own a bar from? His Smiths Royalties arent worth much.
didnt he play in badly drawn boys band? if so then that would have got him 50 quid :)
