Does anyone have a decent copy of Reading 1993 (not 98 - got that already)on DVD?
If so, can I get a copy? Natch, I will reimburse you with any reasonable costs.

P.S. was my first Reading festival AND my first NO gig, so would really really really love to get a copy.
All i rememember was that i had a great time - was near to the front and DYING for water, there was some sort of sound problem that Barney made a comment about and they played Blue Monday at the end. Otherwise it's a bit of a blur - I do remember Dinosaur Jr played that day and were rather good!
I think this is one of the most widespread bootlegs.Even i have a copy somewhere.
You shouldnt have too much trouble locating this. Probably best to try the buy/sell/trade forum.
I've got it, but only on tape.
If nobody else can help you out, I'll make an effort to transfer it to CD and do you a copy.
'Electronic Ecstasy' was a proper, pressed up German CD bootleg of this, minus BLT and another track that escapes me now. Good quality sound. Don't know of any video of this.
They all hated each other at the time, but it was one of their best, tightest performances. I was there. Excellent stuff. Round & Round sounds amazing.

I'm proud to say Kiss The Stone was an Italian record label dedicated to high quality bootlegs when they were still legal, before 1995. Ah, the good old days... at the time CD rent was legal too... There weren't any CD recorders around at the time though, and of course P2P gives you the chance to find rarest things nowadays...
The gig was awful. No-one paid any attention because the punters were all bumming each other. It was like the last days of Rome, but not in a good way. Bernard spilled his Pernod, Hooky had a perm, Steve and Gilian were having a domestic, Rob just kept scratching his balls.....
The bootleg is inaudible, except for some guy in the crowd saying "God, this is all a bit gay innit". It was that day that I realised New Order were shit. Awful.
I have an italian bootleg, called "Europe 1993", with an amazing sound. If you want a free copy, e-mail me...

Well, I transfered it from tape to my hard drive last night, but I have to say, even to my tone deaf ears, the sound quality is f*ckin awful :(
I'll try cleaning it up and you're still more than welcome to a copy if others can't help.

Was a great gig, although a lot of backing vocals on tape.
Cant find your email Barney Army, but do you reckon you could do me a copy please? I will be at Re:Order next Saturday and will happily reimburse you with your drink of choice!

I think youre on the wrong thread mate. Ive got the gig on MP3 file and it sounds amazing. Even better than what NO produce in the studio (and I never thought Id be saying that!).

Everyone was having bum sex though. No, really....![]()
Theres no need for that sort of sordid capers at a concert. Must have put Barney off his stroke!:\ohwell:
Does anyone have quality mp3s of BLT and Dream Attack so I can make my Electronic Ecstacy recording complete? :)
...hmm, I must have a deja-vú, or something like that...
NEW ORDER
LIVE @ THE READING FESTIVAL, ENGLAND, Sunday 29th August 1993
COMPLETE SOUNDBOARD RECORDING
At the time, this gig was regarded by many as New Order’s swansong; the fact that a good proportion of the audience thought this might be the group’s last-ever gig added a special frisson and atmosphere for those of us who were there. Basically it’s the same set as the rest of the (fraught)’93 tour but with, I think, a bit of extra fire.
The show was broadcast in part by the BBC and other networks round the world. However, this BBC CD, taken straight from a broadcast quality CD (complete with reference to a certain pop star currently undergoing a court case for offences relating to children faded out!) is the complete show with all the songs in the right order. “BLT” and “Dream Attack” are particularly rare, not appearing on the well-known “Electronic Ecstasy” boot, and will probably not have been heard in this quality before.
This is, as far as I know, the first time the complete show* has been distributed, and it’s a cracker. Sound quality is superb. I’ve done absolutely nothing to the files at all, figuring that if it’s good enough for Auntie, it don’t need no fiddlin’ about with.
All in all, one of my favourite-ever NO gigs.
(*the only bit that are missing are a few short bits of between-song “banter” )
...this above text was written by the originator of the outbrought record, but who was it ?...

Running Time: approx. 73 mins.

Oh is this the above-mentioned BBC CD on DAD? Unfortunately they are not accepting new members so that kinda sucks. Could someone email me the .torrent file please? dfurnell2000@yahoo.co.uk
