It's the same as all versions of NewOrderStory except the US one... not specifically japanese laserdisc.

Cause I saw the Best Buy website too, and I checked today at media play on the Wesside (aight?) and they did not have it either. drats. looks like I'm waiting until next week when this damn bronchitis finally leaves my body for good, hopefully...

I got it at Borders on Sawmill Rd. (I posted in somewhere in here).

They had one copy, but at least they had it. $21.99, but I didn't have to order it so I was happy. Awesome package, just starting NewOrderStory which should be cool since I've only seen the short one. Had to stop watching last night for the 'Lost' premier. :)

So the video for "Round and Round" on Collection is very slightly different from the version I've seen before (not talking about the alternate "Patti" version). There are different shots of the woman near the end with the perm. Haven't watched New Order Story yet to see if that version is the one I'm talking about.

Yes there was a clip of "live world" in the US edition of Story, but not the whole video. And yes the version of story on the dvd is the same as the UK/Canadian video

You are not crazy. It does sound a bit different in the beginning.

Question New Order Story US Edition include Japanese subtitles?

It's great that Neworderstory is in it's full unedited glory.
All the rare live footage is not truncated as it was on the VHS tape released so long ago. And all those extra commentaries!!! What did Quincy Jones mean when exactly when he suspected NO did indeed like to "hang out"?

Al Jarvis will be happy to know that SUNRISE is the track playing in the DVD menu of NewOrderStory ;)

There are NO subtitles on NewOrderStory, sorry folks.

If you want a version with Japanese subtitles, I have a rip of the Laserdisc on DVD that I can send you.

I know this is one of the most tired New Order questions, but I can't find the answer anywhere, so don't get too mad.

Is the bearded guy in the Confusion video Arthur Baker?

Who's the heavy-set man in the Perfect Kiss video, and the other guy nodding his head behind the door?

Please help, it's driving me crazy.

Isn't there a New Order FAQ anywhere?

Yes, that's Arthur Baker in the "Confusion" video. He takes the reel-to-reel to Jellybean Benitez IIRC.

Don't know the guys in behind the glass in "The Perfect Kiss" video, but the guy standing in the doorway is Jonathan Demme who, consciously or not, sort of stands in for an approving Ian Curtis looking in from heaven...

The big guy behind the glass in the PK video is Slim, one of the band's roadies. The guy in the doorway is, I think, Andy Robinson, another long-time associate the band. It is not Demme.

I have to check it back.. now that I met him, I can recognize Andy even if he's 20 years younger.

He's their manager, it's more than "long time associate" don't you think? ;)

Found it at Best Buy for $19.99  Another copy left for anyone in the greater CNY region

The menus on A Collection are great, loved how they use Vanishing Point for one submenu (Audio I believe). Fuckin' ace, worth the price alone for the Perfect Kiss 10 min. vid (even though it does skip in the shot when Gillian turns up the sequencer....even the Perfect Kiss ain't so perfect I guess) :)

Can anyone explain me what it means? So A Collection's case contains NewOrderStory and vice versa? Or the labels on the DVDs themselves are printed wrongly?

Fookin' Best Buy did not have it in stock, the bastards. I told the boy I'd get it online. F them.

Mr Twister, where's your avatar? Look at mine:

They've got violence, wars and killing too All shrunk down in a two-foot tube But out there the world is a beautiful place With mountains, lakes and the Human Race

I got my copy of Item at Circuit City today. Chances are, where theres a Best Buy, there is a Circuit City not too far--at least in my suburban strip mall existence. :D I'm watching Collection now--I have my evening planned!! I'm at Regret now. This is a great video. Most of them are good, IMHO. Some hits and misses that occassionally make me go "WTF?" And I forgot how awesome Blue Monday was.:thumb:

And yeah, my Collection and NO Story were switched.

The "a collection" case has the new order story disc in and vice versa....

I just noticed that my copy of NO Story skips and flitters and pauses around the Shellshock/State of the Nation bits. Anyone else have this problem or is it just a dud copy that I picked up?

Fuckers! A factory cannot do anything right. It takes just some time to watch closely a DVD you're relasing to bring you some fuckng money... but even here you're lazy.... :(((
