I cant see this on the news page, but looks like the singles collection is being called "A Collection" in the UK with a different artwork.

And a DVD of NewOrderStory in original packaging, rather than the two appearing on a double disc pack.

Tis looking that way donny brasco. All the sites ive looked on seem to be selling them separately, bit of a bummer if you ask me. Would have liked to have got the box like the yanks, but i suppose we've got the 7's inc slipcases and the poor yanks will have to pay over the odds on ebay for their slippy little barstard cases !:evil4:

Only kidding boys!

It looks like we'll be following the UK. Bugger. I hope that they at least updated the New Order Story.

All is not lost, you can get preorder the two DVDs complete with the 'Item' slipcase from HMV UK at http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/simpleSearch.do?pGroupID=-1&simpleSearchString=new+order+item&primaryID=-1 , but it does appear that they are being sold seperately almost everywhere else.

Not quite the same as what is going on here in Aus though Ron - 'A Collection' is definately coming out, but no word if NO story will be even released on DVD here at all, let alone at the same time. HMV UK it is then! CTB :bear:

Not for me unfortunaely I'm not able to order stuff from this my only address. My only hope is Red Eye Records in Sydney. They seem to get oversees releases there. I got Umbrellas In The Sun, the Jetstream cd 2 and the Here To Stay dvd singles there. So Hi Ho Hi Ho its of to Sydney I go. I think I'll give them a couple of months to get it in.

Bit of a pain! would have preferred the US version as it looks a bit neater being as its a double DVD.

Argghh.. never mind now i guess i'll just have to get both!!

Looking at the cheapest options for Aus, Randy Bear...

The Ideal Copy in the US lists it at US$20.99, a fair whack cheaper than GBP19.99 at HMV UK:

Ideal Copy

But their shipping rates are well hidden so I'm not sure of the bottom line. The other things to consider are whether your DVD/TV can handle NTSC and whether you're looking at picking up the WFTSC 3 x 7"s and/or CD single which appear cheaper at HMV. And whether you want the free poster that comes with The Singles at HMV.

Oh the permutations.

Do you know if these are region 2 dvds (Europe) or is it the American dvdset (region 1)? I've got one of those obscure (read: cheap) dvdplayers that can't be made regionfree.. :banghead:

I expect it's the UK Region 2 version, Mari.

Perhaps drop them a line to confirm before you buy?

Ah well, you live and learn - I've already ordered mine from HMVUK, and I'm happy enough with the price (they subtract VAT for us Aus people). The whole thing costs about AU$70 to be shipped...which is only about 10 bucks more than they will cost when sold seperately here (i.e. 2x$30). Given that there is no certainty over NOStory getting a release date here, I figure it's well worth it.

But thanks for pointing out 'Ideal Copy' nonetheless, DC - the absence of shipping cost info is ominous, but they have an impressive catalogue.

Erm they'd fookin better be region 2 i ordered the above from hmv.co.uk and i aint got a region free player.:eek3:

Mari,ALL dvd players can be made region free,if you go ont tinternet type the model number in and you should get a code to change it to region free.

Disclaimer from , you may fook your player up by altering the code .

Where does HMV get off charging GBP20.00 for this 'Item' set anyway?

You can pick it up and have it shipped to you from somewhere like www.deepdiscountdvd.com in the US for even cheaper than buying it from HMV, even if you're a UK resident. They're quoting US$16.63 plus US$6.00 international shipping.

Obviously, "Item" is just a cardboard, the 2 seperate DVDs are inside that box.

So what you won't get is the cardboard sleeve to put the 2 DVDs in.

Not a big loss... but if they charge you that much for NewOrderStory, it's a ripoff when you can get both for 18$ USD on Amazon.com

If you purchase in the UK from HMV, you do get the 'Item' cardboard box with both discs.

Total = US$35.81 versus US$16.63 for exactly the same item (although Reg 1)

Rip-off, quite right.

The online shop I usually use (I won't post the link, as it's portuguese and you wouldn' understand it...) has three DVD's on sale:

Item (stated as an US release) A Collection Neworderstory (these two sold separately and of european origin)

Well, I've ordered the "2 DVD" 'A Collection', from Amazon, and I expect to receive the dual pack, with the slipcase here - all preordered for eleven quid.

They'd better send me it!

that's what I thought initially, but havíng checked again, Amazon advertise these dvd's separately so I'm afraid you will only be getting one. I've cancelled Amazon and gone to HMV: double dvd, double cd, and three 7" for 42 quid incl.postage. Hope to have them before chrimbo :D
