Presumably the bit where Steve Coogan AKA Mr.Tony asks the final Hacienda crowd to loot the building on the way out (24 HR Party People) was a piece of fiction.
But anyone know what become of the neon "Gay Traitor Bar" sign? Has it ever come up for auction,or any other Hacienda fixtures for that matter?

Some of the Hac sound system was eBay, but judging by that interior design program that was on recently, most of it ended up in Wilson's flat!
Not sure if he actually made the announcement, but I remember reading in the NME that at least one person was seen heading down Whitworth Street with a cash register under his arm...
The Dance floor was sold off in pieces in some kind of auction, but that was back in the days before ebay.
