I dug up the Sec 25 12" out of the closet and here's the info you wanted.

Side A is Fac 108A "Looking From A Hilltop". It's a "restructure from Fac 90". Produced by Bemusic and Dojo.

Side B is Fac 108B "Looking From A Hilltop". It's a "megamix from Fac 108A". Produced by Bemusic and Dojo.

There you go. Do the rest of their songs sound like "Looking From A Hilltop"?

i heard about that song "looking from a hilltop".did barney produce it? never heard any section 25,were they any good?

They're an odd lot S25 - their earlier stuff (LP's "Always Now" and "In The Key Of Dreams") sounds very loose, semi-improvised and dubby bit like PIL and (especially) CAN - unsung Krautrock legends - and even got the band tagged with yet another "post-Joy division gloom-rock" label. But their most approachable stuff was around 1984-87 period - "Looking From A Hilltop" features on their third album "From The Hip" - their take on electro pop, which was actually regarded as quite influential in retrospect (some claim that "Hilltop" prefigured acid house even!!!!). Bernard co-produced this 12" cut with Donald Johnson, drummer from A Certain Ratio (hence the BeMusic/DoJo credits). Actually , even though I like this 12" loads I prefer the follow-up, "Crazy Wisdom" because it showcases three different sides to Section 25's sound. They are worth a listen anyway, though they're not everyone's cup of tea.

When one of my freshman students asked to be excused so he could go see Thrill Kill Cult in Columbus, I don't think he expected me to start a discussion of the relative merits of the Glamour Dyke Mix of Sex on Wheels vs. the original.

Thanks for the info , Michael and others. I can advise you to try and get yer hands on the "From the Hip" album. I think it is absolutely brilliant! Now i am gonna try to get hold of the 12", cause i dont have it and i am getting quite curious to hear the mixes of Looking from a hilltop.

anyone got the remix album "looking for a certain ratio"? electronic and the other two contributed remixes and additional production to 2 of the tracks.most of the mixes are housey in a 93-94 style but well worth a listen,especially the one by 808 state,wicked bassline on that one.
