slipcases

Nope, didn't get an email confirmation, nor have they arrived yet (and today's post has been and gone)...
Fingers crossed that they do eventually arrive before I retire (in about 30 years time)! :p
probably weeks after the single comes out... ![]()
weird there have been no mails yet - surely it's a database of new order fans for marketing purposes - well there's loads of stuff out soon - but no mail about it?
They are shipping mines next monday.
So I will do a little give away when people will start to receive them, because obviously I won't want anybody selling a double one on EBay... ![]()
maybe they are making Phil Cunningham ship them out, because he is the junior member and has the least seniority, and he is shipping out when he gets time... hopefully Gillian no longer gets stuck with these tasks!

Got mine today too, very nice :)

same here. i immediately knew that it was all bent up when i saw the envelope! they should put a note like "please do not bend" or something like that! :( oh... i've been looking for so long. >_<"
Yippee - got mine today too. :)
Shit - it's bent to fuck as well! ![]()
Typical fucking Royal Mail eh? Maybe the postal workers all have this psychological disorder that means they just couldn't resist bending items of post that look delicate could they? I mean, an A4 envelope fits through our letterbox no problem so what is their problem? But then I suppose part of the blame lies with the record company as well - why not send them out in stiff card-backed envelopes with "Please Do Not Bend" on them - is that too much to ask?
Anyway - it's odd - it's not really a "slipcase" in the sense of the word is it? Looks more like a folder to me. The elastic cornner fastenings wrapping round the front spoil it somewhat.... it would have been lush to have a proper gatefolded slipcase with an inside reverse pocket where the 3 singles could slide inside with their original sleeves intact. Now THAT would be perfect.
is this the thread where desperate, pathetic American's beg for slipcases?
if so, can someone send me a slipcase, please.

You cant completely blame royal mail. They came in a normal a4 envelope remember with no protection so its just your luck.

Well, they have deliberately bent countless other "fragile -do not bend"-labelled items of post in the past, so yeah - I WILL blame them fuckers......you should see the state of some of the guys who do our postal rounds these days - right rum bunch of dodgy bleeders some of them are. ![]()
Recieved mine and my wifes today, I knew i should have got one for each of my 18 children. Both in good condition, don't think I'll be putting either on Ebay though, couldn't bring myself to part with them.
got mine today, has a small crease near the spine, but otherwise is in good condition, wouldn't mind that promo cd on ebay though.![]()
Got mine through today as well - agreed on the crap packaging - luckily it wasn't bent - and the fact that Warners sent it 2nd class! ![]()
Also got another one for a mate of mine in Switzerland (sent to my brother's address), and (hopefully) another (sent to my dad's address) for a mate in Amsterdam.

I received mine too. I mean, a friend of mine who lives in England received it for me. I will have to wait until December when she will be back to Brazil. Patience is a virtue. :\ohwell:

We should arrange a meeting with the postman that folder my Way of Life 12" promo to try to fit it in the mailbox...
Presumably there is no way of getting a less-bent version? The website just says "the offer is now closed" and there was no return address on the rather weedy envelope.
Perhaps I should move to a part of the UK where the postmen (and women) don't bend stuff in two...
Hi everyone, by the way.
i rung my mum up today and mines turned up not bent either now i'm waiting for HMV to ship my Records
