The overlapping vocals on WFTSC is one of the things i like about it!.Turn loses a point for the rather ordinary guitar solo just after the first chorus.Am not competely convinced by the second verse on WFTSC.All that "midnight train /first to paris then to spain/travel with a document all across the continent" No..But the closing lines "how many times must i lose my way hey/how many words do i have to say hey/what can i do just to make you see/that you`re so good for a man like a man like me" make up for it.
But on the goose pimples factor i think Turn wins it.

I've preferred Turn from the beginning, and the preference has only gotten stronger with the passage of time.
WFTSC may have had a very slight "goose pimples factor" at first, but that has long passed. Turn still has nearly as much as it had the first time I heard it.
Yeah I agree, Pats.WFTSC had a major "goose pimples factor" for a few weeks at first yet kind of faded but is still a good song.The goose pimps on Turn appear to be more longlasting.Guess it`s the better song.
WFTC is def. the stronger song. It is some of barney's best songwriting. Turn. when what can I say?It is generic and I havent listen to it for months.

Actually, for me, Johnny, when WFTSC had GPF, they tended to come with the "midnight train" line, although you're certainly right that the closing lines are probably more genuine.

That part of the lyrics makes me chuckle, because not so long ago I was travelling across the continent and took a midnight train from Budapest to Belgrade. There was some Italian man in the same compartment who thought he didn't need a passport to travel from Austria to Greece. Not surprising the Serbian border control had to disagree with him

amazing how the songs have their own meanings to us all!
The final verse of WFTSC edges it for me. Listened to both songs twice on my 4 hr motorway journey!
Jetstream and GIAUE are my next faves fromn the album.
