Good review for this compilation, which says all we have thought about the number of compilations, yet still praises the band highly - perhaps making up for someone else's review of the 'Waiting For The Sirens' Call' single:

See, they're not all that bad, are they now?

I'd never heard of Google alerts until you told me about them, Nic. :)

I don't mind buying the compilations. Saves having to buy an I-Pod. Anyway, I've even got some of the compilations I didn't know I had. Like the Rest of New Order. I doubt I've even played it.

i know its just bitchin' but... New order never really was much of a singles/ 7" band anyway... some of these versions are hardly definitive, the radio edit is often an afterthought... making it less than perfect as the ultimate collection if you only had one to choose from

it's nice that the original Temptation, EVG,and Ceremony (i hope) are on CD finally, and the single versions of Crystal and 60mph seem stronger... plus a shorter version of State of the Nation and Shellshock help keep the finger from hitting the forward button, but maybe some single versions are not improvements... heck, the original 12" of Perfect Kiss would be nice

the problem with the compilations is that nobody wants to make decisions

Hello,

I was wondering. Which versions of the singles are this compilation? The 7" or the 12" versions? I mean can i find the original 7" Ceremony on it. Or the uncut full 12" version of The Perfect Kiss. I mean is it really worth buying for hardcore fans?

Thx in advance! Vinnie

Is the Temptation that is on the POP disc of Retro, the one on 'Singles'?

a freind of a friend (19YRS OLD)told me that he was not gonna buy singles. When i asked him why he replied that he already had them, when i had finished arguing my case he relented and went straight into town to buy singles. he phoned me today and his exact words were " you were right ! . I'm usually not wrong, but for a 19 yr old to actually go out and buy no singles is by far a mean feet in ANY country! havent read the revue, carnt be arsed! What is more important is getting these young ens into the order!:thumb:

Hey folks -- don't let Amazon rip you off! At least not the domestic Amazon, that is. HMV in Canada is selling this for $22.99 Canadian:

That's where I'll be buying mine...

D'oh! Shippping is another $10. Turns out $32.97 CAD = $27.82 USD. Still cheaper than domestic, but maybe I'll wait until it does come out here...

The Turn edit kind of makes it sounds as though the disc slips at the start of that song.

Would actually have prefered the single version of Spooky.Still , i can rip that from the video on the new DVD if i can work out how to.Gonna do the same for the BLT vid. Will be cool to have the "you know, you`re a really up person " bit on CD.Run 2, also.
