Diappointed with the Krafty album version...

Anyone else feel the way I do about it?

When I got the single Iw as ecstatic. Typical of New Order with singles, it almost stupidly didn't actually have the track on it, just a 12" Extended Edit, Re-Edit, and 2 remixes (one of them by Phones Reality, the worst remix ever...).

The funny thing was, each of the 2 weird edits did evrything the album version did wrong...right!

• The 12" version starts off with a great drum sequence, unlike the sad "Dudududududu" at the start of the album one.

• Both edits embrace Krafty's epic synth interludes, (the 12" brilliantly using some of it in the intro) that were all but ignored in the album one...

Did anyone else find this, or am I once again alone in my opinions?

Although it's not technically very different, I strongly prefer the Andy Green mix. I felt the harsh dance elements near the end seem a bit tacked on and too much for the rest of the song, whereas the Andy Green mix works better as a whole.

I love the stripped-down Glimmers 12" remix. A masterpiece!

I've heard from a number of fluent speakers of Japanese that Barney's pronunciation is excellent!

Did you hear Armand Van Helden's BLT, the Advent's EGG, the Lionrock Remixes of 1963 and the Pump Panel remixes of Confusion by any chance??

The Phones Reality remix rock! gives balls to the song.

i could do without AVH's and Lionrock's remixes. i did appreciate advent's interpretation of EGG. Phones Reality...it was plain cheezy for me!

Yes.The glimmers 12" mix Track 1 on a 4 track mix cd, plus a video making it a 5 track cd...The other single was just 2 tracks and no 12" mix..

I get yer now! Cheers! I thought people were referring to an extended mix by the band with a different intro, similar to the different band mix of Crystal on the Crystal 12" with more of Hookys bass 2/3 way through.
