500 quid as starting offer for something that's readily available on CD

The guy obviously has a great sense of humour. 30 quid absolute tops for that type of thing!

Yeah I think he/she's deffo taking the piss..last CD copy I saw the seller was lucky to get 10-15 quid for given the reputation this gig has among fans.

Kinda funny that i bought a copy of this from a flea market about 15 years ago-i ended up throwing it away cos the sound was that bad some of the tracks (i think there was 8 on it) were actually blank grooves! As for the sleeve, little bit too close to a reworking of Retro to be old-mine was white with a blue print of NO on the front.

I wouldn`t buy it for 49p.

Yup, PCL alright... it gets sillier and sillier. I sent an 'ask the seller a question' - 'Did you mean to list this at £4.99 ?'

No reply yet... (wishes there was a 'laughing my f**king ass off at that twat on EBay' emoticon)

No the price is £499.This record is very rare. There are only 30 copies and is in perfect condition. It´s a very rare chance to obtain a record like this.

A rare chance to be ripped off to the tune of five hundred quid methinks...! :spit:

...and explain why the LP merits a £500 price tag?

That auction is just pure greed, I'm a collector and I've had my fair share of pricey closing bids but no way would I spend 500 quid or more on a single New Order item, let alone a dusty piece of vinyl! She's chancing her luck and I'd love to know where she plucked this £499 figure from! :uhoh: Fair enough it's a rare item but a £499 opening bid is ridiculous, something like a hundred quid with a 150 buy it now would've been fairer if it really is a rare item but even then that's pushing it.

Having said all that, the multicoloured vinyl is a nice touch, but I'd personally not be willing to pay any more than ten or fifteen quid for it as vinyl has never really interested me beyond the artwork :thumb:

i think this person may have fell into the trap and purchased it for a large amount and is probably trying to get his money back! or again, he's going through tough times! good luck if that's the case!
