Frustrating.
That sucks butt out loud. Boohiss, HMV! I hope things get sorted out.
FOOKIN PANTS!! I love that!![]()
I received mine about two weeks ago (actually I received it on the Friday after its release date. I live in the USA, however, which may explain the fast delivery.
More importantly, when you get it, listen to the "Collection" disc in 5.1 surround sound mode. I noticed that the audio is improperly synchronized with the video for two tracks: Regret (Baywatch version) and Temptation (live version). Has anyone else noticed this problem?
Err... Question... I ordered mine at Amazon (as UK-Import). Now they cancelled that order... Will there be no UK-Version (RC 2, PAL)???

I must be very lucky with my local HMV in Sutton Surrey. As item was on the shelf as I was told it would be 3/10. Not only that the girl who served me also is a fan of JD/NO (even though she's loads younger than me so we had a great chat about them. Also the other staff in the shop are also extremely helpful - never have a problem with getting what I want.
the one I picked up in HMV was region 2,3,4,5. But the picture is NTSC, should be fine on a computer or decent tv/dvd setup, will be bolloxed on a more basic one.
1899 online 2499 in the shop 6 quid for the privelige of queueing and paying a make-up clabbered chavette, six feckin quid.
BTW, play.com are flogging only the collection DVD, thank god they're out of stock, otherwise I'd have not got NO-story on dvd.

How stupid is that? I ordered both DVDs with no box now... Maybe this will be succesful...
I had no trouble what so ever. Walked into HMV at 10am,picked to double disc set up from the music section!

I am now totaly confused and getting well pissed off!
i have just recieved my DVD from Amazon UK wich i thought was Item, but is A Collection, seems to be only a single DVD but I'm reluctent to unwrap to find out incase it has to go back.
WTF is going on, it's region 2, 3, 4 & 5 but in NTSC that makes no fuckin sense whatsoever, surely all region 2 should be in PAL.
someone pelase calm me down before i turn into lawnmower man and fuck up amazon

Quite unusual in this area to get a R2 DVD with NTSC picture when we have PAL. Japan is R2 and has NTSC so it is not unknown.
I'd contact Amazon to see if you can open it to ascertain what it is that you have. If it is a single DVD then they will have to pay for the postage as the item is not as described on their site breaking several trading standards.

Would be worth lookuing into the legalities of selling NTSC in the UK. Region 1 is TOTALLY ilegal to sell outside region 1, so anyone with a region 1 only disc in the UK is laughing. NTSC I dunno about. Before the trades descriptions act was repealed, any product sold had to be "as described" and of "merchantable quality for it's intended purpose", which an NTSC disc is not in the UK, as it's intemded use is the watching of a videogram, a purpose for which it is useless (unless u have foreign (potentially ilegal) equipment, in which case you just have to tolerate the horrible low-res and cacky colours).
Mine works, but only by virtue of me using a PC ( double good since my dvd has no linux support (linux however has good burner support :)) , and therefor can never ask me what region it should be....their loss for not supporting me).
TBH, I'd just take it back and say it doesn't play, and get another one, and take it back, and keep doing it untill someone in HMV says to you "oh, I'm sorry, we sold you a non-uk disc".
I can't even blam the Yanks (well I can blame em for their daft TV standard) as R2-NTSC, pretty much means it's Japanese.
It's sad that they apparently think they have just fans in US and Japan...
I hope to get mine next week. My DVD-player doesn't care about any RC. NTSC should be played by any equipment these days. Amazon just tells it's NTSC. No word about RC (and you can't identify that on the blurry photos).

LESSON: Never pre-order anything online. You won't get it earlier anyway (well if you're lucky 1-2 days earlier than the rest of the world, is it that worth it?) ![]()

HMV havent shipped my order yet.But they HAVE shipped the WFTSC single CD .Again(I was surprised to find the Rich Costey and Jacknife Lee mixes on the CD are extended from the 7" mixes.Nice).Will now have a spare copy unless i send it back demanding a refund which seems a hell of a lot of bother for one CD single. If i dont get a shipped email for Item tonight im gonna cancel it and try and buy it in town tommorrow. Why didn`t i just do that in the first place?.
