singles gatefold promos

Hola, just got my copy of the singles gatefold promo this morn. A tidy bit of tackle if you ask me,for those of you who havent seen it yet, its (yet again) and all white affair with lovely gold lettering (will post a pic when i get chance). Just a pity (again) that warners seem more interested in tarting up the promo edition instead of the normal high street release. We have paid over the odds for our no stuff for far too long now,warners have released far too many no compuilations,its time they gave us something back!

In the excited promotional blathering for Singles, it's said that New Order are being inducted into the Music Hall of Fame..is this just hyperbole or is there some truth to it?

It's not New Order being inducted into the Hall Of Fame, it's The Killers, actually.

For their judiciously eighties use of eye make up.

I have 2, both are different on that issue.

Sure are nic,just a pity that the standard release wasnt like the promo,the promo artwork is much better than that shabby skeleton leaf!

Shame that they have made a typo on the sleve notes and made two track 4's on CD 1!

I wonder why this gatefold promo has 'Arthur Baker Mix' on 1963 whereas the retail release omitted it?

Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good that I've received the promo & retail CD versions of SINGLES + also COLLECTION/NEWorderSTORY DVDs ( btw, the promo DVDs are not copy-protected! ...and I managed to do a copy of DVD of my fav. NO videos via my DVD-recorder )

• 3x7" WFTSC + slipcase + WFTSC CD single + SINGLES poster.....all this well before any of these get released if ever at all in my local Aussie music shops - thankies to Ebay :D Of course, dont ask me how big the hole I blew in my wallet
