As you crazy fookin nutters know i've had a few problems with hmv. came in from work this morning and decided to check my copy of item, turns out that the copy of item i have is region 2. At least that is what it says on the cover! After further investigatiion (erm, unwrappin the cover)it seems that both the discs are region 2,3,4,5 but the sound is in ntsc 4.3 :wtf:

How did i get it so wrong?

Moral of the story, always look before you leap!

My sincere apologies to the peeps that cancelled item due to me earlier posting that it was region 1 :ignore: .

Feel free to slap my legs with a willow branch or summat like that!

Will go into hmv today (under extreme protest, i might add ) just to make sure that this info is correct.

 = :headoff:

HMV sucks. they want 8 GBP for shipping to Germany... so, no decent way to get that "Item"...

That'll be the picture that is in NTSC  Your TV still needs to be capable of handling that.

At this juncture I shall add my tuppenceworth and say that Warners are fucking stupid for releasing this as NTSC in the UK when we are predominantly PAL. Just how many returns are they going to get cos people can't play the discs? Or non-purchases cos people know their equipment isn't up to the job

What do you expect Nutsy? They are (or at least were) owned by EMI...

In case anyone hasn't realised, the 7" singles were deleted on day of release. And Steve, the offer is still open!

The 'Item' double DVD was also limited - I phoned three HMV stores and the last one I phoned were kind enough to reserve their last copy for me.

I went into Liverpool HMV, and the 7 inch singles were £2.49 each.
