The NO show.

Some years ago a guy promised me a copy of the unedited version of the N.O. show - and viewing my dvd copy of NOStory reminded me I never got it.

There seems to be a popular misconception that the "No Show" was a genuine programme that was actually broadcast...

Would that it had never seen the light of day in any form.

during the early 90's itv broadcast the new order story which was about the bands rise to fame with interviews with people like herbie hancock and during the middle of it was the no show hosted by keith allen from englandneworder and also featured tony wilson and the band it was after regret single was released i videoed it and should have it somewhere. you can buy it from hmv.co.uk at £9.99

Thats the neworderstory he's on about.
As far as I'm aware, but I'm no font of all knowledge, it was a made up program that was only used as a filler in NOStory.

I've certainly never heard of an unedited version of "N.O. Show", Pete?

This reminds me of what I've been wanting to say about New Order Story for sometime... Are most video biographies from the U.K. like this? OR is this whole production yet another example of someone "taking the piss" as you say? Does anyone find that a lot of the interviews on NO Story (especially with Wilson, Saville, Jon Savage)are merely soundbytes and it's really difficult to understand what they are talking about because of the way the video is edited??? Since we don't have the benefit of the interviewer's question, it seems we just leap from one soundbyte to another, and the confusion is made all the more worse by the inclusion of snipets from the NO Show.

I know though that a lot of what I perceive as horrible editing is really Tony Wilson's fault for being such a babbler.

Yes I know its a made up show for the documentary.

I'm talking about the footage they did - the NO show - to edit and input on the NOStory.

Like the background video from Crystal, someone must have it.
