Just wondering what is the logic is behind releasing some excellent new remixes on 7" vinyls only, and then releasing a promo cd-r in of those mixes (and more) in full digital quality, but never making it available for general purchase? :banghead:

Wish I could afford ebay prices but I'm afraid food comes first... So, here comes the pleading - any kind sould who has this cd-r - I would love to arrange a trade. I have quite some stuff myself so please DO msg me.

Note I have the remixes on the 7"s, but looking for a cd copy of the promo cd-r.

One possiblity would be for someone to make a cdr of the mixes and publicly sell it...once warners/the band realized how much money someone was making from something that they refused to release they would prolly get their butts in gear.

they could then publicly threaten the seller...get more publicity for the mixes and then sell them legally after getting free press...

i've got the 5track and the 6 track cd-r's shared on soulseek. i'm curious what is on this 7 track one, and also i'm looking for the planet funk mix if anyone can track down an mp3 of that. i don't feel like posting my soulseek name on here, so get in touch with me or send me your soulseek ID and i'll contact you or something....

7-track CD is an amalgamation of the 5-track and 6-track versions, so if you have copies of both, then you won't need the 7-track one...

There are mastering errors, however, on the CD-R's (i.e. gaps, white noise, etc)... :\ohwell:

Yeah I noticed these dodgy CDRs on ebay too.

A tenner is a bit much for a low quality bootleg (bet the tracks are sourced from MP3s too) especially as it probably cost loobytony3233 5 pence per CDR to make. Unfortunately people are chomping at the bit for these mixes and are most likely willing to pay for these dodgy discs :(

Yo, please help me out. I have seen the 2-track CD-r with the Planet Funk remixes and the 6-track CD-r on Ebay.

What is on the 5-track one and the 7-track one? If someone could list a short discography that would be MUCH appreciated.

Also, is that 'Tribute Mix' on the 10" exclusive to the 10"? I know SOMEBODY knows the answer.

And has Spotnick heard anything about the supposed NEW US club single? Please help out. We all seem to be talking about this stuff but what's on them is still a mystery to me.

10" Tribute mix is exclusive to the 10".

New US Club single - that's all Nic knows about at the moment - i.e. no idea (just pure speculation) as to what it will be! :)

Finally got the 5 trk cdr promo and what can i say - absolute fookin gash! :thumbdown: The richard x mix is the best track on it the rest are fookin pants!

They do tend to grow on you, but yeah, the Richard X Mix of BLT (full length) is the best thing on there, and that'll (probably) be on the Japanese version of "Singles"!! :)

And, hopefully, with the Japanese release, we won't have those mastering errors that are fairly obvious with the CD-R's... :brow:

True, but it doesn't really help when you have people bidding days before the auction ends! :p :crazy:

Somebody needs to tell these people - if you bid a long time before the auction closes, you'll only start a bidding war (which you probably won't win)!!! :p :evil4:

Was wathcing this one too,even tho i got one last week.Just clicked the link and looked at the bids,dodgy! Cant comment on loobytony,but he has beaten me to a few things. Glad to see my old mucker from new york won the item tho,congrats ndd a bit pricey at £80 odd quid me thinks!

Yeah, I won the bid for the 5-track CD-r two days ago, for 59 Pounds. I see it was a bit pricey, but I didn't intend to win. I just bid on it and lo and behold, I was winning the auction. No one came and bid after me so I got it that easily. I tried to win the 6-track CD-r the same way but whoever won it, I guess, had a HIGH proxy bid because the final price was, like, $144 or something.

Either way, I'll be eating Ramen noodles for a week. lol j/k I think the Brits call 'em pot noodles, right?

All I need is the 6-track CD-r and the Planet Funk CD-r. E-mail me if you can help out. Please. Anybody. We can make an arrangement.

Another thing, after winning this, I hope these remixes stay PROMO ONLY, like so many Depeche Mode CD-r's past and present.

I hope the new US 2x12" features remixes of GIAUE and the Tribute Mix of WFTSC.
