last month i saw on the open page to this site an advertisment for a joy division dvd double set and i cant find it now i have searched new order online but just get results for item where can i get this dvd from?

If you live in the US, Newbury Comics always has it. I believe you can order it online at http://www.newbury.com. I have it and I love it. Disc 1 is "here are the young men" and disc 2 is "Substance." It says it is a Factory Records Product, but I think that is total bullshit! I know the VHS versions were Factory products, but not this DVD. Totally a bootleg, but well worth it. good luck.

I got this a while back. Got it in a dingy record shop in Dublin. 2 DVDs - pretty good content wise. Poor quality picture though, and sound too.
For a fan: an alright buy.
