I read in one of the weekend supplements that Kalima, who released a few tracks on Factory, are playing at the Mezo in the westend of London this Wednesday for anyone who's interested.

From what I can remember they were a poor man's ACR but they did release a couple of corkers in a Latin stylee. Sparkle, which was on Palatine, springs to mind.

The only other one of theirs I've got is Weird Feelings. As you say, definately a Latino vibe. Ahead of their time, obviously...

Yep, i've got that one too, not bad. Girls seem to like it 'cause they can kinda dance to it in a girlie way...god help me.

The current sax player - can't think of his name now - Tony Quigley perhaps? - in ACR, joined them from Kalima I think?

Still no word of the mooted ACR gig then, Mr Way?!

I possibly would of gone but I went to see Blues at the Baggies last night and didn't get back home till 1.30 in the morning so I'm a bit knackered.
