I met Barney, Hooky & Stephen backstage!

Hello all

Just wanted to say I had a good time at the QEH despite my partner in crime's (Deabeat/Jim) disappointment.

Also, I mangaged to sneak my way backstage and met Hooky and Stephen just before they went on. Told them how much I loved their music and that they've changed my life!

Saw a backstage pass lying around and grabbed it before making my way back to my seat to see the show.

After the show, went backstage again using the pass and waited patiently to meet Barney. Saw Hooky and Stephen leave very early. After about a half hour, Barney was out talking to one of the SFA but I managed to have a quick word with him and tell him the same things that I told Hooky & Stephen.

Now that I've met some of my musical heroes..I can now die a happy man!

Some other points:

* Didn't have a camera so didn't take any pics * Didn't see Gillian anywhere..but Stephen mentioned she was around * Said Hi to Phil * They're all shorter than I thought * Sarge kicked me out of the dressing room trying to sneak some Champers * Barney was wearing a Vikings Pin!

Wow - you did well there then - and you even had the audacity to go for the champers!

"They're all shorter than I thought"

I used to have a mate who worked for Melody Maker and interviewed them for their instrument section or something. He said they were the shortest band he'd ever met. Still, I wish I could have met them though.

So what exactly did they say? What...events transpired there?

Doesn't bother me at all so long it's horizontal! :p

Being short myself, I don't really feel like I'm "looking up to them!"..It was nice to talk to my heroes "face to face"
