Help Me Get To The Metro Tomorrow

I have a dilemma, the Metro happens to be an overage venue...and i happen to be 17. Now i nearly bought a ticket and risked it with a fake ID, but $60 is a fair risk (especially when you just quit your job, and only source of income).

Any ideas people, i need some kind of plan, and anything has to be better than my current plan, of cornering Barney up at the signing and shouting at him till he puts me on the guest list.

Im calling on all the creativeness of the NO-Onliners to help me formulate a plan.

Do you need to show ID on the door then over there ? Seem to have some strange ideas over there, throwing people out of gigs for shouting out song titles etc......

I was 13 when I saw Joy Division, and 14 when I first saw New Order !!!!! Guess we have a different attitude here.

Jarvo and Gilesy have travelled from England to go to all the dates - they know the band, but don't know whether they will be able to help necessarily. They have had to buy their own tickets after all !!

Your best bet is beseeching local radio or blagging fake ID.

You could always try the approach Curtis used on Tony Wilson !!!

Well the Metro is primarly a club, therefor an 18+ venue that requires ID to get in. I would have been quite happy (and still would be) to pay $60+ or even more if i was guaranteed to get in, its just that i don't want to spend $60 to get rejected at the door, and now its sold out.

Are "Jarvo and Gilesy" actually in the position to lend a hand (perhaps even for some financial benifit) or im a dreaming? And if they were how would one go about contacting them, will they be visiting the forum before the gig tomorrow? Agh, i really am clutching at straws now aren't i.

We're the last people you should ask as NO's management aren't replying to texts or answering phones. So we're ticketless at 9am on the day of the gig! Not sure if they're using different mobys over here or what - saw most of the road crew over at St Kilda yesterday but didn't enquire. Got a mate back in England working on trying to get us in tonight as it appears the gig has sold out. . .

yeah the gig has sold out, it sold out quite a while ago, poxy venue the metro is anyway, would have been much better at the forum or festival hall.

Nope. At least i saw them once and went to the signing and got to talk to them. Barney had a good old laugh when i told him i couldn't get in.
