New Order at the Metro Melbourne

Would like to have seen them play 'Perfect Kiss', but I guess they can't play all requests...

As to the Shaun Ryder reference about Vince from UG... thanks.. it was plaguing me all night as to who he reminded me of with his dancing.... :D

And BTW: What was the name of the guitarist? He looked familiar, but I missed his name....

Anyways the fishnetted freak was the lowlight, one of the higlights as I said before was my mate elbowing this guy in the gut when the crowd started to rush up to the front for Transmission.

Did anyone think the Crystal they did was excellent, cos thats what me thinks.

And Bilby, I cant recall anyone asking for Rock The Shack when we had the choice between that and Isolation. I mean what did Barney think?

Another thing I noticed for the Radiohead fans here, does anyone else see a similarity between the new live version of Isolation and Radiohead's Idioteque?

But Slow Jam, I used to half defend it but its really, well just shit, right on the same level as Run Wild and State of The Nation.

Now im listening to the Electronic Ecstacy version of Fine Time, that would of been great for them to play me thinks.

If you are more into beats and clean production then go for some of the offshoot stuff by GBVG (the intials of Glen and Vince (Guitarist and Singer). They have a few releases of remixes and more dance oriented stuff. As they list New Order as one of their influences I suspect they may have been a bit out of it on Wednesday - but still, they are a great band to catch on their own turf.
