Predictions on what this will sell for

Sometimes I will wonder why people actually bother to bid before the final 5 mins.

I know people that play to increase the price of their item when somebody is bidding for it, just to inflate it, and see how much it could go...

There are two reasons:

1. They are inflating the price for their friend (the seller) so the item will sell for more. Even if the bidding friend wins the seller can "second chance offer" it to the next highest bidder who was probably genuine and has just been fleeced. It's pretty dishonest, my ex-flatmate used to engage in it alot (I didn't for the record)

or

2. They don't have two brain cells to rub together and are oblivious to the price consequences of starting messy bidding wars 5 days before the auction ends pushing the amount sky high. In fact look at the history for that auction, the culprits are usually those with very low feedback scores (20 or under). They simply don't have eBay experience and it's hard to be sympathetic when they're pushing the price of something you want sky high which has happened to me many times.

If you had found the actual UTEOT CD single (as for sale above) in that charity shop for £2 I'd be recommending you break out the champagne ;) Now that would be a real find!

I own the CD single (I paid through the nose for it unfortunately), the promo 12" and the yellow 'fan' press release sheet which came with the CD single through the Electronic fanclub. They're all being kept in a safe place with a view to only being sold if I'm having trouble affording food... so no plans to part with them for the forseeable future :)
