Haven't seen anything on the board about this yet...
That twat Tony Wilson will be a judge in some Pop Idol type singing contest this autumn...the huge ad I saw in today's free Metro paper even labels him as "The man behind Joy Division, New Order, Happy Mondays and The Hacienda"

In fairness to Swiss Tony, surely that's not too far wide of the mark???
No matter what anyone thinks of Anthony H. - he can't be any worse than the idiots they currently have on these 'pop star' programmes at the moment. Maybe a band to come out of the show might be more than boy/girl bands and no-hit wonders...

Wilson doesn't exactly have an impressive history of vocal judgement- Have a listen to 90% of Factory's signed artists.
looks well dodgy! rather than open auditions in the x-factor/pop idol style, you have to audition via a rather expensive premium rate phone line!
