I have.

Teenage Fanclub in 199..something.

Manchester Academy, I shouted to Norman to play some homage to Ian coz of the date. He heard. So they did a 15 second rendition of Transmission, and he mentioned Ian was a hero to the crowd. Nice one.

Could I leave it there?

No, that wasnt enough to satisfy my belly of beer so I threatened him with an evil stare.........which didnt work. He just laughed back and played some Teenage Fanclub shite. Ho hum. True.

I did my bit.

It was Ray Clemence's testimonial. They had quite a side at the time - Neyskins, Rep and Rensonbrink all played, I think.

aaghh cheers. robbie rensonbrink and johnny rep. how we could do with a winger like Rob right now eh? that's a lot of dutch quality playing for the Belgians back then.

Sorry guys, but Rep and Neeskens never played for Anderlecht. They both played for Ajax. After their Ajaxcareer Rep went to France(Bastia, St. Etienne) and Neeskens teamed up with Cruijff in Barcelona(hence his name:Johan Segundo), after that he went to New York Cosmos. They both coach a team nowadays. :) Would be great though to have matches with scores like that again!

It was over 25 years ago. I'm sure they had a few of the famous total toggerers.

Sure, Rob Rensenbrink played Anderlecht for years! Now why did he have to hit the post in '78, only two minutes from the final whistle
