I'm hoping they do the Blue Monday/Love Reaction mash up again.This time with Sarge on vocals:D
I actually love Blue Monday, but I hope it's not the encore, as usual; I'd rather it was the opener.

More chance of knitting with piss than BM as an opener, i think it's a foregone conclusion that it will be the encore, no matter how much the real fans dislike it, IT'S THE LAW
Thought they ruined the last Manc Apollo gigs with encores.
Honestly, you end a set with Temptation / LWTUA / Atmosphere ... er, then they come back with Ruined / RockTS / Blue Monday?! Where's the justice?!
I missed the last Apollo gigs but that's a fair point Jarvo.
Personally, though I never listen to BM on CD anymore, I do quite enjoy it at gigs.
I fookin hate encores. Whats the point of them? get on, play yer songs, say something reasonably entertaining then get off stage.
Encores are probably so that the band can go and have a piss and snort some more drugs, before coming back for more! 
Apollo 1998 was the last time they did a decent encore - "In A Lonely Place". It was superbly played.
Tell me this - why has the first recording of this never been issued on CD? It is Martin Hannett's best ever production and one of the most beautiful songs ever.
Bernard playing the melodica is the opposite of autocue.
Nothing wrong with an 'Encore'.
Nowadays, it's just a natural break in the gig - a sort of half time where you can have a quick drink, etc.
New Order's encores can be up to 5 tracks nowadays, so could be just about anything.
I think it's about time they dropped 'Blue Monday' from the encore, if not the set, simply because those fans who know it prefer other tracks and those that don't know Blue Monday wouldn't miss it.
Perfect Kiss, Temptation, Sunrise, etc would all make good 'encores' - leaving the crowd sweaty, happy and with a talking point for the journey home 
Substance had the v2 version from the 2nd 12". The version from the gold 7" green 12" has never been remastered I don't think. Has the master tape been lost?
The version on Retro was a lesser incarnation. I think it was the Glastonbury 81 performance? A bit of a mess, though a great concert (soundboard tape - one of the first NO performances made available in that way).
The best live version I ever heard of "In A Lonely Place" was from the BBC2 Riverside session in Jan 83, but it wasn't part of the broadcast (Temptation/Chosen Time) which makes me an elitist twat, but actually you got tickets for it for being in Rough Trade shop that week... there were plenty of empty seats. The songs New Order played after the 'transmission' numbers - Senses, Little Dead, Cramp (as was then Hurt), were also magnificently performed. Any wise person looking to document the band's early brilliance would need to dig out that tape from the archives.
So, back to encores. These never happened during the Movement and PL&C days.
Blue Monday is always best experienced as a starter rather than a dessert.
The encore is a delicate subject, at first they would not do it. The first encores were as tributes of various kinds, to mark special occasions. (LWTUA, Decades at the RFH...) Then it becomes a way of marking a transition from underground to commercially-successful artist, ideas become expectations and the next thing you know you are where we are now. Hopng you don't get "World in Motion" as an encore...
If WIFM was the encore at either Brixton or Manchester, I think nearly half the audience would walk out...
