I friend of mine told me that some of his friends were the band, plus it's one of my favorite videos of all time, and i couldnt find any comments on it. it's strange how well the singer sings someone else's song. it's good though it works.
I was told that The Killers had something to d owith it.
I know I'm completely wrong, but the Ks seem to like Crystal. (I think that used to be their name...)

hence why The Killers are called...........The Killers.
Strange that a band from the bright lights and excess lifestyle of Las vegas should emulate bands from grey Manchester. I wonder how that happened???
Brandon Flowers was scratching around for a name for his THEN unknown band and remembered the cool fictitious band in the CRYSTAL video called THE KILLERS. His management then contacted NewOrder management for permission to use the name and the rest is history .....So i read anyway!
no no yall are all wrong
The band known as The Killers are the band in the video, they just had long hair. And they didnt have a name when the video was made, and NO gave that fake band the name the killers, and flowers and them took the name. would u like to see proof? then i shall show you.
"So far so romantic, then. The early core of the band was cemented and their amazingly-previously-unused moniker appropriated from a New Order video. The premise of said promo was to represent the perfect band – with the greatest song as well as model good-looks and youth on their side - to represent Barney & Co. That band was called The Killers. “It gave me the ambition that our actual band should be as perfect as their fictional band,” says Flowers. And so began our heroes’ journey..." The Killers Bio Page its all there. i was actually going to make a topic about them being in the music video. and i watch the video and i cant recognize flowers at all with his long hair. but u gotta remember this was like 4 years ago, and he was in college back then.

Er, what? ![]()
Brandon Flowers didn't appear in the "Crystal" video... !!!!! ![]()
As the above text states: "It gave me the ambition that our actual band should be as perfect as their fictional band" - i.e. the band in the video (although called 'The Killers') were NOT the band known as 'The Killers' now!! :p

I don't know what happened...
I'm not interested in The Killers very much, but compared to the majority of the musical groups that are from the US, I'd rather much listen to The Killers than Green Day or any other crap like that.

I have no way to judge what he's been doing today, DC, but he was certainly expressing some strange thoughts yesterday.
Yesterday/today. Depends where you're sitting, P.
Perhaps it was just a harmless college prank.
