Gee, if only my kids took my comments so seriously, life would be great. I was being slightly sarcastic on this one - I genuinely hope you all have a great time!

I am ready for Joy Division/New Order and Depeche Mode to be inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in USA. They have earned it.

Sorry people but I cannot think of a less appropriate way to allocate tickets. I have a mate who has not got a penny to his name but is obsessive about The Fall but can rarely afford to go and see them (even at £15 a ticket). Doesn't mean he is any less dedicated or passionate than some BMW driving city pr*ck who has seen them ten times as much, just that he doesn't have the necessary means.

I'm a left wing old arsehole and I think my political beliefs sit fairly well with New Order. Wealth is not a indicator of dedication, passion, intelligence, or any of the other traits associated with being a New Order fan.

Poor decision.

Behave lads.

Starting to get just a tiny bit personal this thread.

Just want to clarify that the "BMW driving city pr*ck" comment was in no way personal and is purely based on personal prejudice.

If someone on this forum matches that description then please accept that it wasn't a personal attack.

However, BMWs are still the new Mondeos..............!

Erm, where does wealth come into it? :confused2:

To contribute cash to this site is just a donation - i.e. how much you can afford - some can afford more than others...

Agree with you on the BMW's, though! :thumb: Personally, I can't drive, so I don't fit into that category! :p

Actually Jake, I can't drive, live 60 miles from London, and couldn't have afforded a ticket for the event on top of Brixton and Manchester. But of course, you are welcome to have my ticket. On the 17th.

Really looking forward to it, I will avoid being snapped by the pepperoni by dressing down and I will be on my best behaviour.

Unless they have a free bar! :D

I hope it's free, I am working till 5, we will then have to drive straight from my workplace to get there in time.

Oldmonkey,

Your point is completely lost on me? Was there one? If you are suggesting my post was based on me being upset because I didn't get a ticket, then a) I never asked for one, b) I'm in Egypt then so couldn't have gone regardless!

Think he should be granted backstage access to do that hanky trick for Hooky! Forgotten how hilarious it was!

I got 4 more tickets, so our lucky winners of a draw (yes, a DRAW) are:

Jim Reilly, Craig Waterworth (digitalwaters), Lucy Tomlinson (sugarcane) and Paul Munday.
