Crystal Transmission Regret Ceremony 60 mph KW-1 Close Range BLT True Faith Temptation LWTUA Blue Monday

Fitting finale to NewOrder's Aussie Tour.

Dragged along several local diehards plus met up with Matt from NewOrderOnline and the travelling Jarvis, Giles and entourage.

The crowd were appreciative, Ceremony put in a welcome appearance, the band seemed a little tired at times, not sure why they persist with Close Range, but luckily Temptation came along and stole the show. Memorable night for me, that's 4 shows this tour and who knows when I'll get the chance to see them again.

Caught up with Jarvis & Giles and co after the gig for a drink and tapped into the extraordinary pool of NewOrder knowledge present. Nice one lads, hope we can catch up again some day! All the best for the massive trek home.

We'll get some pictures online soon!

Big Up also to Liv, who Allen was SMSing through the night!

Well, that's it. I hope other far flung NewOrder fans throughout the world get a chance to experience what we have over the past month.

Cheers!

Ian Pillar, we were expecting to see your gothic noggin down the front somewhere.. Where were you?

Cheers DC, it was good to have the chance for a couple of beers afterwards. Hope you & Michael enjoyed it as much as we did.

I'm sure the image of Gordie running in circles around that lass in the nurses uniform at '60 mph' to The Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up will live with you for a good time to come :D

In Singapore Airport at the moment, gone ok so far, big schlep still to come of course. On same flight as the band as predicted. They all seem in good spirits if a bit knackered.

Liv - thanks for texting the footy scores thru. Not sure if I mean that ;)

Oh yes, Perth gig - best of all the BDOs, crowd WELL up for it.

Hope to be back some day.

Finally got the technology sorted and am on-line....

Perth BDO was fantastic......hooking up with Giles and co. made the night a lot more memorable....even if Hooky did think my phone was a laser pointer.......my good friend who tuned into a bit of 60 mp/h and Temptation said the reception was great (hooray for Nokia).......and was a mite jealous for not being at the gig......

DC.....the main man.....it was all quality.....worth the ticket price alone.

You never know.....9-Jun could be a goer.......

Memories of Gordie (the human jumping bean)......the nurse was well impressed...

Introducing The Tinman!

A guy I met in high school care of a 'Brotherhood' scrawling on my pencil case. We traded NO 12"s and we've been partners in crime ever since..

Big up for joining the rag-tag rebel fleet at NewOrderOnline...

;)

Inspired by the BDO performance, doubtless!

Welcome aboard Tinman - got a feeling you're gonna fit in quite well around here.

Sometimes the subjects get a bit off topic with English footy a common distraction - you'll fit in well with that an all ;)

Just so long as Tinman doesn't utter the word "W**ford" in my presence again! I was being most polite in Fast Eddy's on Sunday night and refrained from saying anything untoward.

All I can say is, Paul Okon is a mug.

hahahaha "this song is about coming on your girlfriends forehead" i was there looking very un-gothic actaully had a red deep throat shirt on but did have the silly goth hair going on :) i was at the front of the stage on the barrier to the left of you guys in the middle it wasnt hard to notice who u guys were with all your NO tour shirts did any of you notice some one filming the show????? i did meet the boys the day before my girlfriend did want to meet Daniel Johns so we went to the air port were i did get vinyl signed and some pics taken with barny and hooky i also caught up with them at the Duxton as well while i was having a drink was surpried to see Gilian there actaully you shoudve seen it Barny and Hooky falling to the ground at the door entrance of the bar with Barny being held up by the neck by the big roady guy who had a strang resemblance to Peter (are they related?)

PRICELESS AND WONDERFULL WEEKEND

Did you notice the two lads with their home made New Order t-shirts dead central at Perth? ie. plain white T's with red/black ink writing all over them - "Divisions of Joy", "Touched By the Hand of Low Life" and other such lines. Very (anti)quaint(ed).

Don't think anyone on this thread was wearing a neworder tour t-shirt (though DC had a very subtle True Faith leaf on his shirt). As they say in Engerlish hoolifan circles, your main boys never wear club colours ;)

I am still festering over the fact I've left all me Aussie setlists on the bloody plane. Previously took me 17 years to amass 4 such setlists, and I went and doubled me collection in just 2 weeks. Whoever said Life is Sweet?

Ian- did you catch the lads stumbling through the Duxton before or after the show?

Allen- just hearing about losing that stuff is depressing.

Allen - I seem to recall a fair bit of stick directed at said idiots in said homemade t-shirts. :)

Didn't see anything meself, but I just thought they looked a bit 'silly'. Still, if you're a fan, you're a fan, who are we to judge? Certainly didn't look good when the ink started to run though! Still, we've all got ways of showing our loyalty - I mean, I forked out 40 notes from a flag website to get a X of St George made up with NEW ORDER on it (and just how sad is that?).

oh the guy with the flag i did see that once NO did finish i saw one guy with what seems to be a tour shirt with some red thing on the front with new order written on the back saw a white low life life shirt and at leats 100 JD shirts at that point as well

We only had the flag out to attract Andy Liddle's attention once the gig ended! Sound bloke that Andy Liddle, a leg-end in his own lifetime. Well worth hassling if you get the chance to see the Order again.

The red-striped shirt may well have been Johnny Giles - he certainly had one of those with him.

Ian,

Geeze, you're looking sober......which is a major change since the last time I saw you. :)

Nice shots, particularly you & Hooky who modestly sports one of his own bands T shirts . Barney looking as happy as ever.

Steve & Gillian got a later flight from Adelaide to Perth which was the same one I was on. Pleased to report they had both their daughters with them & had a quick word with S&G. The little'n who has been ill now looks well on the way to recovery & was giving Steve the run around in the departure lounge.
