Sadly I never went to the Metro gig. It was fantastic to hear the live recording from the Gold Coast tonight on TripleJ. WOW it was fantastic, they sounded great so clear and pretty close to what they do on record. I felt as if I were there. I will write to Triple J and thank then for giving those who were unable to see them, to hear them tonight. 10/10 Guys
Gotta agree with you Anastasia... as you know so well that I too missed out on the Metro gig. So, this evening I tuned into the J's.. turned the lights out and laid down on the couch. I guess it was the next closest thing to experiencing the gig live.
Did anyone record the gig that was broadcast on Triple J? If so, are you interested in a a trade?
Do you want a recording of the entire gig or a recording of the selection that Triple J broadcast?

Hi Daniel,
I know, how could we not get tickets, I'm kicking myself about that. I'm usually ok with my knowledge on concerts, but I was so busy with other things during the month of December so I just didn't hear about it.
New Order on TripleJ was fantastic and it was like I didn't miss out on too much, did you feel this too. I am sure you recorded it?
Make sure you stay tuned to Channel V on Foxtel soon, not sure which weekend check out the site. They are going to show the BDO2002 over 16 hours. They are bound to show New Order. Then we can have the gig on video tape. It will probably be the same gig we heard last night(Gold Coast show).
You know what if I hung around with Teresa that night I would have ended up getting tickets as people did turn up later wanting to sell their tickets, so as you can imagine I was kicking myself when I was there all day and decided to head for home at about 6.30. It was great to soak in the atmosphere though and I was happy to hear them rehearse but this concert last night was great.
I assume we aren't going to the Tea Party concert, too hard to organise getting tickets, unless we both go in together to get them and I will contact Teresa and make sure she still wants to come and I am not buying tickets for nothing. Maybe we could all go to another gig, if you are ever going contact me, it might be a band I would love to see. The Tea Party are going to do a CD signing and a little acoustic show at Gaslight tomorrow 6 Feb 2002, so the papers say. I can't say I am going, I would love to see the show though, if it's during the lunch break.
Keep in touch anastasia
The Tripple J broadcast was excellent .. To bad they missed out True Faith though ... I liked the way that Bernard apologised for not being here in so long and how he said that Australia has changed so much for the better ... Although the "I'll see you again in ehh 20 years" comment at the end of the show was a little scary ... He did sound like he was just trying to be funny though ...
I've been watching each broadcast from each Big Day Out and already have 6 live songs from the Gold Coast set on video ... Im not sure how many songs Channel V will play on the Big Day Out weekend ... Im hoping to get afew more songs that I don't have ... So far I have the interview plus Crystal, 60mph, transmission, close, temptation and regret ...
