So to complete my year, after 4 NO shows, I end up hitting my third NIN show of the year in Philadelphia. All I have to say is about 3/4ths of the way through the set, knowing full well I was likely not hearing my dream song, Trent says, "This is a song by Joy Division" and the band proceeds to blow through a dynamite version of "Dead Souls" - a first I believe on the US legs of the "With Teeth" tour. It really was a nice way for me to pretty much wrap up my concert going year, since I cannot make my way over the UK this week. God speed to those hitting shows this week, just happy I had my moments this year....

  1. New Order at Kimmel
  2. New Order at the Hammerstein
  3. NIN playing "Dead Souls" in Philadelphia
  4. Bruce Springsteen joining U2 on stage in Philadelphia for an amazing rendition of "People Get Ready"
  5. Bauhaus at Coachella

Those were my top five personal moments this year.....

A good year.... Cheers!! 5.

I will have to crawl through some music robbing sites during the week, with something like this you usually find some kind soul has recorded it and put it online. They have a history of playing JD songs do they not?

They do a good version of Dead Souls on The Crow Soundtrack. Excellent:clap:

It's also on the remastered version of 'The Downward Spiral'.

Industrial metal at it's finest.

I still believe this is probably the best Joy Division cover...

NIN is one of my all-time faves, however, was never too much of a fan of trent's voice. it's just me. their cover, by far, is absolutely the best!:thumb: off to las vegas, i go!!! see ya!

The live cover by NIN at Woodstock back in 93 is even better than the studio version. It is only available on a bootleg, which I have. Soundboard recording.

Because its from a bootleg, and so long as spotnick doesn't object, I would be happy to Email anyone the mp3.
