Is Curtis popular with The Kids in Ireland then?! I'd imagine you'd get fcuk all in for this sort of thing. Doesn't strike me as a goer at all.

Depends. You'll get a few goths who know their music before Nine Inch Nails, and a few students. Can't see it packed out myself.

Thing is, we had Digital and Re-order do a 25th Anniversary Curtis night on May 18th this year - actually, no, it was a day late, I think? - but 6 of the 8 lads in the bands post on here and obviously all the London-based fans know one another, so it's a good excuse to meet up, etc, and we're all of an age to appreciate Curtis more than most. Oh, and it was all FREE. And we just about mobbed out a (admittedly, small) boozer. But I just don't see the attraction for today's yoof. And certainly don't see the point in paying nine quid for the privelege. Looks like someone's just trying to exploit a hole in the market which, quite frankly, your age-group shouldn't even consider plugging.

We'd do two sets for that much, a JD one and an NO one! Hadn't though about Norn Iron as a gig possibility, but if you know of a venue that you can get 400 students all paying money up front at for three hours of songs they know (and like), then it has to be worth considering. Student venues are definitely the answer for tribute bands, it's getting into the student venue circuit that's the hard bit!

Lets see, when i was at University over there, i struggled to find people who had heard of New Order, nevermind Joy Division. And what is this night going to entail, a load of fcuking goths sitting down and listening to Closer while moaning about how life would be sooooo much better if they were poor. Sounds like a load of fun.
Chris, what you going to do if they play some songs of Low Life? Leave?

The Beer's good in there, and it's ALWAYS full at night, they'll get a crowd. Not me, tho, I'll have spent all me cash seein the real thing :)
